Main idea: Interesting anime is not just an interest to anime fans. It gives self-confidence to anime fans and makes them show their true colors because of certain unique characters/roles.      

Topic sentence 1: One of the most interesting parts of anime is the design of characters. Interesting  designs like having super powers, perfect personalities and good lookings, is just like helping us make our imagination come true.

Anime is interesting because the stories and characters are attractive. The basic strategy of Japanese comic is the setting of characters. The character should be ordinary and has similar age with readers. In order to narrow the distance between the character and readers. Make them have a sense of identity and project themselves on the character. This will arouse their interest in reading the comic and then like it. The setting of the characters are also based on the authors' fantasy. Those kind of people won't really exist in reality. Especially their dramatic facial expression and costumes. They can do things we aren't able to do.

Interesting stories:
1. Nodame Cantabile: Shinichi Chiaki, an arrogant perfectionist is a top student in a music college. The story begins when he met a weird but talented girl, Nodame, who totally changed his life. Along the way pursuing their dreams, they met a lot crazy people like Nodame but had same dreams with them.

This story is really funny, the character's facial expression are all dramatic. This comic's most famous and funny part is when Chiaki is angry for Nodame's silly behaviors, he will throw things to her.
Besides the funny parts, this comic introduces musicians, like their works and stories. I learn more about music from this comic.

2. Natsume's Book of Friends: The main character Natsume is a high school student has the ability to see youkai (spirits 妖怪), inheriting the power of his grandma. Upon her death, his grandma bequeaths him her "Book of Friends", a book containing names of youkai. The Book of Friends is a highly prized item in the youkai world, and they haunt Takashi constantly.

One of a reason I like this story is because of the cute youkai. Though there are still bad youkai try to kill Natsume but most of them are very kind. For example, Nyanko-sensei, my favorite youkai, is a very fat cat who protects Natsume.

3. Fairy Tail: This is a fantasy story about people with magic. Fairy Tail is a wizards' guild, they will use their magic to complete missions in order to make make money. It is mainly about a group of young wizards' adventures.

The setting of the characters are based on the authors' fantasy. Those kind of people won't really exist in reality. Especially their dramatic facial expression and costumes. 

Why are the stories interesting?

The reason that stories are interesting is as same as why the characters are attractive. Because the story will never happen in reality. Characters can do things we aren't able to do, like having super powers or doing dramatic actions. 

Why did you learn such a life lesson? Is it related to any character？

In the third year of my junior high school, the pressure of having tests almost crushed me. Then I found  when I was reading comic books, it was the only moment that I could forget all the unhappiness.  My favorite comic book, Gintama, is a comedy always makes me laugh. The main character is also the one that I identify with the most. He is very lazy and is mean to others, but when someone is in need he will definitely help him or her. No matter what kind of mess he gets into, he will find a way to solve it. This comic book gives me a lot of courage to face my difficulties.

Why are their personalities changed? Is that related to any character or any story?

They became confidence to themselves because after releasing their pressure and becoming friends with those who have the same interest, can gain recognition from others.

1. Can learn life lessons from it. For example, one of the interviewees said he learned that if you work hard enough and do your best, you can achieve your goal. To me, I learned to look things in a positive way and I became a more outgoing person.
2. Anime influences their aspirations. Most of the anime fans are interested in drawing and designing.
3. It changed their personality, they became more cheerful and happy. They cared about what people think of them before, but now they think the most important thing is to be who you are. So they have the courage to do many things.
4. Some people can't draw a line between the anime and the real world.
5. Spending too much money on it.
6. The people they saw on roads can't meet their imagination.
7. The decorations in their rooms changed. It was all white and now it is filled with anime posters.
8. Anime changed their values. For example, a person's appearance is just a shell, the most important is your innate character.
9. They spend more time staying home.

Main Idea:
The reason I chose this topic was because me and most of my friends are anime fans. And I want to introduce the things I like to people. Tell them about anime fans' thinking of ways.

What are Anime Fans?
It means a group of people who are really interest in anime and comic books. Sometimes their behavior may look weird to others  but actually it's a way to release their pressure.
Why are they interested in anime?
Because it is not real and it gives them a place to escape from reality. Anime is not just an entertainment to them, some of the interviewees said anime influences them a lot. Like learning life lessons from it or even influence their future dreamㄡ

Personal Experience (Observation) 1

I've been to the Comic Exhibition twice, the first time I went there just to buy comic books and other things. The second time I went there to interview anime fans. The common between them is they all spent a lot of money on anime products. The last time I went to the Comic Exhibition, I spent about two thousand dollars. Honestly, I felt regret after I went home because the things I bought most of them weren't useful. This time when I went to the exhibition and finished the interview, I walked around for a while. Seeing the anime products, I have the impulse to buy them again. I have to keep talking to myself like, "Wei, you won't need these things." or " Wei, it's expensive and not practical, you will definitely regret for buying it." Another thing that stopped me from buying it and  kept my head clear was the lining. There were really A LOT of people lining up and waiting to buy things. My eager of shopping destroyed immediately. But all the interviewees were willing to do that. Most of them even got up early in the morning and waited for hours until exhibition opened. They think it was worth it. I am really impressed by them.

The characters I identify with the most are two male characters.
The first one is very lazy. He always lies on sofa reading comic books and do nothing. According  to my mom, she said that my behavior is very similar to him. He is also my favorite character, too.
 The second one he has a special ability that many monsters(妖怪) like to get close to him. I like to imagine that there are many cute and strange unknown creatures stay by me side or play with me, just like the character.

I think I don't "escape" into the comic's world, I imagines I'm in it is only because I really like the story.   And comic books are like chargers to me, when my energy is about to run out, comic books give me powers.
